It is possible for the main user to assign a service area role to a user if Resourcing is enabled for the customer environment.

Go to user management through the process menu User Administration > User Management

When you are creating a new user or editing an existing user account, the service area role is defined on the Service Area Connection tab

If resourcing is enabled, the drop-down menu appears in the service area role column in front of each service area.

Select the service area for which you want to assign a service area role to the user. Check the check box for the service area to do this. Then select a service area role by task:

  1. Supervisor: Specifies which actor performs which task when manual resourcing is enabled. You cannot select a user in the Management service area role for tasks that are responsible for performance.
  2. Actor: The employee who performs the task. When automatic resourcing is enabled, all persons marked as actor will be marked as responsible when a new position appears.
  3. DeputyA deputy can be manually replaced as the responsible person while automatic resourcing is enabled. For example, if the person in charge is ill.

If the user is responsible for performing in many service areas, the service area role can be conveniently marked on the Linking of service area group tab and one-by-one tagging can be avoided.
