The emission factor can be changed from Energy > Settings > Energy Sources.

The CO2 emission factors can be modified from the row of the consumption type by clicking the Edit button.

The emission factors of energy sources differ each year. To maintain the correct historical data and reporting based on the previous values, new emission factor values should only be added by using the Add button.

Adding emission factors through the Add button, will make the emission factor appear as a new row in the view. The previous emission factor value will also remain in the view. The use of the different emission factors is done by date values.

Add the type of CO2 emission factor and the emission factor. If the consumption type unit is different from kWh, then this unit can also be selected from the drop-down menu. The drop-down menu always includes the general type of emission factor g/kWh. The current emission factor is highlighted in the CO2 emission factor table.

Emission factors from the library are linked to meter values based on dates. When extracting a report, the system checks which specific emission factor has been valid on each period of time calculating the CO2 emissions based on this.
